Sierra measures 4340 mm in length, 1841 mm in width, 1715 mm in height and 2730 mm in wheelbase. While the Creta measures 4330 mm in length, 1790 mm in width, 1635 mm in height and 2610 mm in wheelbase. These larger dimensions give the Sierra the most cabin space in its segment and a huge boot space of 622 litres, which is much more than the Creta’s 433 litres.

Engine and Performance

Both the SUVs are available with petrol and diesel engine options and there are also plans for electric models from both companies. The Creta gets 1.5L MPi petrol, 1.5L Turbo petrol and 1.5L diesel engines. While the Sierra offers a 1.5L turbo-petrol (167.7 bhp) and a 1.5L diesel engine.

On paper, the Sierra’s turbo-petrol engine is more powerful than the Creta’s 1.5L turbo engine and promises better performance. However, the Creta offers various transmission options like CVT, Torque Converter and DCT, making it one of the smooth and reliable driving SUVs in the market.

Features and Technology

The new Tata Sierra truly sets a new benchmark in terms of features. It gets premium features like three digital screens (driver, infotainment and co-driver), the largest panoramic sunroof in the segment, level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) and JBL soundbar. The Hyundai Creta is also well-equipped with ventilated seats, a dual-screen setup and connected car technology, but its feature package feels a bit conventional compared to the Sierra.
