Tata Motors is going to launch its popular hatchbacks Tata Tiago and Tiago EV in a new avatar. The company will launch both the facelift models in the Indian market on 28 May 2026. The new Tiago will now see more premium design, bigger feature updates and better technology.
Design became more premium
The new Tata Tiago and Tiago EV will look more modern and bold than before. The front of the car has new LED DRLs, sharp headlights and updated bumper.
The petrol model will get a black grille, while the EV version will get a body-coloured closed grille. Apart from this, new 15-inch alloy wheels, black wheel arches and connected LED taillights make the car look more premium.
Big upgrade in features
Many new features have been added to the new Tiago Facelift. It will get a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 360-degree camera and a new two-spoke illuminated steering wheel.
Apart from this, features like automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers, cruise control, auto climate control and cooled glovebox will also be provided.
Emphasis on safety also
According to reports, this time Tata can offer 6 airbags as standard in all variants. The company is already known for the strong build quality and safety features of its cars.
What is special about engine and battery?
The petrol and CNG models of the new Tiago will continue with the existing 1.2-litre petrol engine. This engine generates 86hp power and 113Nm torque. Whereas the CNG model will give power of 75.5hp.
On the other hand, Tiago EV is expected to get a bigger battery and more driving range. However, the company has not yet revealed the official range.
price and competition
The price of the new Tiago Facelift may be slightly higher than the current model. After launch, it will compete with cars like Citroën eC3 and MG Comet EV.
Tata’s BaaS (Battery as a Service) scheme can also make it more affordable for customers.
