Taxpayers demand extension of GSTR-1 return filing date, delay due to technical glitch in website

The deadline for December 2024 returns has been set for January 11, 2025, but many businessmen are facing technical glitches on the website while filing GSTR-1 returns. In this regard, the businessman has demanded that its deadline should be extended.

Let us tell you that through the Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) portal, this information has been given on social media X that maintenance work is being done after a technical glitch in the website. Information was given in this message that people may face problems due to technical glitches in the afternoon, but even after noon, some tax payers say that they are facing difficulty in filing taxes.

After this, again an information has been given in which it was told that the website will remain closed till 3:00 pm. In such a situation, users say that the deadline should be extended a little so that they do not have to face any problem in filing GST. It has been said that January 11 is also a holiday in many companies.
