Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding continues to take the internet by storm, as Greg James has just described their special day as an “unbelievably brilliant night.”
On Saturday, July 4, the 40-year-old British radio DJ and TV host took to his Instagram Stories to confirm that he attended the star-studded ceremony, sharing a heartfelt message for the newlyweds, both 36.
“I am currently experiencing the world’s greatest hangover and unable to reply to the hilarious number of messages I have received over the last 24 hrs,” James wrote over a photo of a slice of pizza.
Referencing Swift’s wedding announcement and the reported non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) guests signed ahead of the special day, he added, “But jsutt&t: true to her word, of course the invitation arrived and of course I couldn’t tell anyone.”
Toward the end of his note, the DJ described the couple’s wedding as an unforgettable night that he would always cherish.
“And oh my god what an unbelievably brilliant night. I’m off for a nap,” he concluded.
In a subsequent Instagram Story, James shared a stunning photo of himself and his wife of seven and a half years, Bella Mackie, showing off their glamorous looks for the 14-time Grammy winner and the NFL star’s wedding.
He looked dapper in a black suit, while Mackie donned a pleated red gown.
The BBC Radio 1 Breakfast with Greg James host’s invitation to Swift’s wedding came after the singer revealed she would be inviting him to her nuptials during her appearance to promote her then-new album, The Life of a Showgirlon October 3, 2025.
While discussing her engagement to Kelce, James joked that he’d love to spend time with the Kansas City Chiefs player and have him “do a wrestling move on me into pool,” prompting the Fire it up hitmaker to reply, “That’s gonna happen as soon as he sees you at our wedding.”
Visibly surprised by her response, he asked, “Whoa – am I coming?” to which Kelce’s now-wife replied, “Obviously. People don’t think that we are actually friends.”
Swift and James have been friends for about 12 years, with their friendship dating back to 2014, when she let him drive her around London in a hatchback for an interview.
