‘For me religion is before love’, Team 07’s Adnan Shaikh breaks silence on making his Hindu wife wear hijab

Adnaan Shaikh on Wife Ayesha Sheikh: Team 07’s influencer and famous YouTuber Adnan Shaikh is currently seen in The50. “He is narrow minded”

In an interview given to Filmigyan, when Adnan was asked that you forcefully converted your wife’s religion and forced her to wear hijab? To this he replied, “Who am I to convert someone, he is an adult and educated. He had changed his religion even before my marriage. We are free people living in India. No one forcefully asks anyone to change their religion.” He said – “Like I am Muslim and my wife is Hindu. Similarly, in my circle my lawyer is Hindu and his wife is Muslim, similarly there is a dancer, he is Hindu and his wife is Muslim. Will you tell those people also that he also converted? People who talk like this are narrow minded. There is a mixed culture in India, people do whatever they want to do as per their wish.”

Religion is more important than love

He further told that because I am famous, people raise this issue but there are many people who have married a Muslim despite being a Hindu. At the same time, when he was asked whether religion matters in love for you? To which he replied, “Love and religion are two different things. But according to me, religion is the most important. The one who loves also knows how important religion is. Everything comes after religion. We Muslims love the Prophet and Allah more than our parents.”

Where does one get the strength to fast?

Apart from this, he also told about fasting that from where do you get the strength to keep fast? On this, Adnan said, “If seen scientifically, fasting is good for health. The good bacteria eat the bad bacteria. This causes anti-aging. There are many benefits of fasting and one also gets rewards.”

How was the journey of The50?

Adnan Sheikh told that, “The journey in The50 was very good. Not all things happen as per expectations. Internal voting matters a lot in this show. Cheating and begging for votes have to be done. I did a lot of things in the show. But I could not do some things. I did not cheat anyone in the show. I gave my 100 percent in the show. I am proud of whatever journey I have had. Along with this, he told that the brotherhood of our team 07 is for people. “Liked it very much.”

Know about Adnan’s wife

Adnan’s wife Ayesha Shaikh (formerly Riddhi Jadhav) is originally from Mumbai. Before marriage, she worked as an air hostess in IndiGo Airlines. Both of them met in a club. After dating for two years, both of them got married in 2024. In the next year of marriage, in 2025, Ayesha gave birth to a son, whose name is Ajnal.
