BCCI has announced the replacement after Nitish Reddy’s exit. The men’s selection committee has included Nitish Kumar Reddy in the Indian team for the T20I series against Ireland and England. Nitish had complained of pain in his left thigh after the third ODI against Afghanistan on June 20. After medical examination, the BCCI medical team has advised them to undergo rehabilitation, due to which both have been ruled out of the T20I series.

Suryansh has been included in the team after his impressive performance for India A in the recent tri-series in Sri Lanka. The 23-year-old player scored 147 runs in five matches while batting in the middle order and also contributed for the team by bowling 23 overs during the tournament. Suryansh was one of the key players in the Mumbai team that won the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in 2024-25. He scored 131 runs in the lower middle order at a strike rate of 251.92.
