IND vs AFG: The Indian team, captained by Shubman Gill, has defeated Afghanistan by a huge margin of 170 runs in the second ODI match played at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. With this, Team India has taken an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the 3 ODI series. Batting first, the Indian team had scored 402 runs. In reply, Afghanistan team was all out for 232 runs in 44.3 overs. Rahmat Shah fought till the end for Afghanistan and scored the highest score of 79 runs, but it was not enough to win. On the Indian side, Arshdeep Singh and Gurnoor Brar took 3 wickets each.

Afghanistan had a good start

Afghanistan had a good start to chase the target of 403 runs given by India. There was a partnership of 51 runs for the first wicket between the two openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zardan, but then Gurnoor Brar showed Gurbaz the way to the pavilion. Gurbaz scored 41 runs on 33 balls. After this Arshdeep dismissed Ibrahim Zardan. Ibrahim Zardan scored 21 runs on 31 balls.

Afghanistan team lost wickets quickly

Washington Sundar gave the third blow to Afghanistan. He sent Sadiqullah Atal to the pavilion. Sediqullah Atal scored 42 runs on 50 balls, then Gurnoor Brar gave the fourth blow to Afghanistan by dismissing captain Hashmatullah Shahidi with the score of 140 runs. Hashmatullah Shahidi walked out after scoring 4 runs.

Rehmat Shah fought till the end

The Afghanistan team kept losing wickets continuously, but Rahmat Shah, who came to bat at number four, remained at the other end till the end. Apart from this, Shreyas Iyer scored 24 runs and Washington Sundar scored 19 runs. Nangialai Kharoti took maximum 4 wickets for Afghanistan. Rashid Khan took 3 wickets. Allah Ghazanfar and Mohammad Salim got 1 success each.
