IND vs AFG: India defeated Afghanistan by 170 runs in the second ODI match, took 2-0 lead in the series.

IND vs AFG: The Indian team, captained by Shubman Gill, has defeated Afghanistan by a huge margin of 170 runs in the second ODI match played at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. With this, Team India has taken an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the 3 ODI series. Batting first, the Indian team had scored 402 runs. In reply, Afghanistan team was all out for 232 runs in 44.3 overs. Rahmat Shah fought till the end for Afghanistan and scored the highest score of 79 runs, but it was not enough to win. On the Indian side, Arshdeep Singh and Gurnoor Brar took 3 wickets each.

Afghanistan had a good start

Afghanistan had a good start to chase the target of 403 runs given by India. There was a partnership of 51 runs for the first wicket between the two openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zardan, but then Gurnoor Brar showed Gurbaz the way to the pavilion. Gurbaz scored 41 runs on 33 balls. After this Arshdeep dismissed Ibrahim Zardan. Ibrahim Zardan scored 21 runs on 31 balls.

Afghanistan team lost wickets quickly

Washington Sundar gave the third blow to Afghanistan. He sent Sadiqullah Atal to the pavilion. Sediqullah Atal scored 42 runs on 50 balls, then Gurnoor Brar gave the fourth blow to Afghanistan by dismissing captain Hashmatullah Shahidi with the score of 140 runs. Hashmatullah Shahidi walked out after scoring 4 runs.

Rehmat Shah fought till the end

The Afghanistan team kept losing wickets continuously, but Rahmat Shah, who came to bat at number four, remained at the other end till the end. He fought a lot, but could not lead his team to victory, because the target became too big due to the fall of wickets in the beginning and slow run-rate. Afghanistan’s 10th and last wicket fell in the form of Rahmat Shah. He played an innings of 79 runs in 89 balls, which included 8 fours.

Arshdeep Singh and Gurnoor Brar took 3-3 wickets

Arshdeep Singh and Gurnoor Brar took 3-3 wickets for Team India. However, Gurnoor gave away 60 runs. Prince Yadav, who was playing his debut, took 2 wickets. While Washington Sundar got 1 success. Kuldeep Yadav did not get any success. Yashasvi Jaiswal also bowled one over and gave only 3 runs.

Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan scored centuries for Team India.

In this match against Afghanistan, after losing the toss and batting first, Team India was reduced to 402 runs in the last over. Indian captain Shubhman Gill played an inning of 154 runs in 110 balls, which included 22 fours and 2 sixes. Whereas Ishan Kishan played a stormy inning of 125 runs in 79 balls with the help of 14 fours and 7 sixes. Rohit Sharma scored 48 runs in 39 balls with the help of 6 fours and 2 sixes. Apart from this, Shreyas Iyer scored 24 runs and Washington Sundar scored 19 runs. Nangialai Kharoti took maximum 4 wickets for Afghanistan. Rashid Khan took 3 wickets. Allah Ghazanfar and Mohammad Salim got 1 success each.
