Team India came out to play wearing black bands on the death of former PM Manmohan Singh, it rained in many parts of Delhi this morning.
New Delhi: Former PM of India Dr. Manmohan Singh passed away on Thursday night. There is an atmosphere of sadness in the entire country due to his demise. Team India, which is playing the fourth Test of the Border-Gavaskar series against Australia in Melbourne, has also paid tribute to him. This is the reason why on the second day of the match, the players of the team came to play with black bands on their hands. Rain has started in Delhi NCR. It has been raining continuously since morning. Not only this, Delhi Meteorological Center has issued forecast of heavy rain in many parts of Delhi within the next two hours.
1. Team India paid tribute to former PM
With the beginning of the second day of the fourth match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 being played between India and Australia on the Melbourne grounds, all the players of Team India came to play wearing black bands on the field. On the night of 26th December, former Indian PM Manmohan Singh left the world at the age of 92. The entire country is in mourning due to the demise of Manmohan Singh, a great economist and two-time Prime Minister of the country.
2. Rain in many parts of Delhi
The cold weather is showing different colors in Delhi. It rained at many places in Delhi this morning, due to which the cold level in Delhi has increased further. Many parts of North India including Delhi are in the grip of severe cold wave and cold. Today people's morning in Delhi started with rain. Where there was heavy rain in some areas of Delhi. There were some areas where there was very light rain.
3. The national flag was flown at half mast
After the death of former Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh, the national flag was flown at half mast at Rashtrapati Bhavan. He died at the age of 92. The Government of India has canceled all the programs scheduled for today and has declared 7 days of national mourning. The last rites of Dr. Manmohan Singh will be performed with full state honours.
4. Congress Foundation Day
Congress General Secretary K.C Venugopal says, this is a painful situation. Dr. Manmohan Singh was the real icon of the country. Congress has canceled all its official programs for seven days in honor of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who was a post-independence hero. Congress Organization General Secretary KC Venugopal posted, “All official programs including the Foundation Day celebrations of Congress have been canceled for the next seven days in honor of late former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh.” He said that if all the programs are included in it, it will start again on January 3, 2025.
5. Rain in Bihar for 2 days
Pleasant weather is being seen in Bihar at this time. Till now the cold has not shown much havoc, but from today (Friday) there are signs of change in the weather. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be a change in the weather of the state on 28 and 29 December.
