The final match of T20 World Cup 2026 was played on 8 March at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. This match was played between India and New Zealand. The Indian team won by 96 runs and won the T20 World Cup 2026 title and created history. The Indian team maintained its dominance in every department throughout the match, which is why India won the final by a huge margin.

Sanju Samson’s score of 89 runs has become the highest individual score so far in the T20 World Cup final. Earlier this record was made by Marlon Samuels (85) in 2016 and Kane Williamson (85) in 2021. The partnership of 105 runs between Samson and Kishan has also become the second highest 100+ run partnership in the final. Earlier, the biggest 100+ partnership was 111 runs made by Craig Kieswetter and Kevin Pietersen against Australia in 2010.
