At present, there is a plan to play a two-match Test series between the two countries, which will be part of the World Test Championship 2025-27 cycle. Apart from this, Team India can play a three-match T20 series against Sri Lanka at their home. These matches will be organized with the aim of raising funds for flood relief work in Sri Lanka.
