Team India Reacts After Pakistan Confirms T20 WC Clash

The Indian team maintained their mental readiness to compete against Pakistan during the T20 World Cup league match because the neighboring country decided to resume its relations with them, which led to increased focus on cricketing activities according to assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate who spoke on Monday. Pakistan had previously declared its intention to skip the February 15 match against India which takes place in Colombo because of government orders but the PCB informed the ICC that the team would play all scheduled games which resolved the doubt about the main event.

Ten Doeschate stated that Indian players used their dressing room time to prepare for matches without letting outside events disrupt their training schedule.

The former Netherlands captain explained to the media that his team had accepted Pakistan’s presence as part of their upcoming match until the team arrived at their destination without showing up.

The South African-born coach confirmed that players intentionally avoided engaging in political discussions which emerged during the competition.

We are making efforts to avoid any connection with political matters. He discussed the national feelings and political conflicts between the two countries, but he emphasized the need to concentrate exclusively on cricketing matters.

Ten Doeschate recognized that Pakistan would benefit from having spent extensive time in Colombo because their existing presence there permitted them to establish their advantages.

He said that Pakistan occupied Colombo for the past two weeks which will make their upcoming match against Pakistan more difficult for his team who need to prepare their best performance.

India will play Namibia on February 12, and Ten Doeschate believes that clarity over Pakistan’s participation will allow both teams to approach the contest purely as a sporting rivalry.

The ICC is currently engaged in stakeholder discussions to maintain tournament operations while all attention now turns to the upcoming India-Pakistan match which will take place on the field.
