Shubman Gill out

Shubman Gill has been dropped from the T20 team. He was the vice-captain of the team and was also considered the future captain, but in recent times his performance has not lived up to expectations. Since his return in the Asia Cup, Gill could not score a single half-century. Due to poor form, ODI and Test captain Shubman Gill has not got a place in the T20 World Cup team.

Ishaan and Rinku return

Ishan Kishan and Rinku Singh have returned to Team India. Keeping in mind the preparations for the upcoming T20 series against New Zealand and the preparations for the 2026 T20 World Cup, the selectors have included Ishan Kishan in the T20 team.

Ishaan recently performed brilliantly in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Under his captaincy, Jharkhand won the title and Ishaan himself scored more than 500 runs with the bat. On the basis of this strong performance, he got a place in the team. During this time he has replaced Jitesh Sharma.

At the same time, Rinku Singh has also returned to the T20 team. Rinku was not a part of Team India in the last T20 series against South Africa, but now once again he has been given a chance.
