New Delhi: The Indian team will play a series of ODI and T20 matches against England before the ICC Champions Trophy. According to reports, the squad of the Indian team can be announced by January 12. After this series, Team India will leave for the Champions Trophy. However, it is being speculated that many key players of the Indian team will not be present in the T20 series against England, among which the prominent name is Jasprit Bumrah. Bumrah may be out of both the series.

Apart from this, Mohammed Siraj, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill can also be rested, although these players can be a part of Team India during the Champions Trophy. Suryakumar Yadav can captain the Indian team in the series against England. Axar Patel and Hardik Pandya are expected to return to the team. Other players include Ruturaj Gaikwad, Sanju Samson, Tilak Verma, Rinku Singh, Varun Chakraborty, Prasidh Krishna, Arshdeep Singh, Yash Dayal and Harshit Rana can also be a part of the Indian team. A series of 5 T20 and 3 ODI matches will be played between India and England. The T20 series will start from January 22, while the ODI series will start from February 6. T20 matches will be played in Kolkata, Chennai, Rajkot, Pune and Mumbai, while ODI matches will be played in Nagpur, Cuttack and Ahmedabad.
