US President Donald Trump has indicated that tech company Microsoft may buy TikTok’s US business. Trump has said that he wants to see a bidding war to buy TikTok.
Trump was asked whether Microsoft was in talks to buy TikTok in America. To this he said, “I would say yes. I am very interested in TikTok.”
Last week, Trump signed an executive order giving TikTok 75 days. It was said that during this period it would have to be sold to an American company. If this does not happen then it will be banned.
Earlier, the Supreme Court had blocked TikTok’s parent company Byte’s attempt to buy its American business. After this it became empty. However, after some time it started appearing again with a short message. Trump was thanked for this.
