Ted Danson is set to take on another comedy role, only this time it will be on Apple TV, as per Deadline.
The Man on the Inside star will team up with Elizabeth Banks in the new and upcoming Apple TV comedy series from creators Liz Heldens and Matt Ward.
Production on the series is expected to kick off in Los Angeles sometime this year.
In the upcoming, untitled comedy, Heidi (Elizabeth Banks) is navigating life after a messy divorce while trying to secure a fresh start for her family; until she becomes entangled in her father’s (Ted) retirement community love life. That unlikely situation leads her into an unexpected alliance with the perpetually single son of her father’s girlfriend.
Alongside Elizabeth Banks and Ted Danson, the series will also feature Rob Delaney as part of its main cast.
Ted Danson currently plays Charles on the hit Netflix comedy series A Man on the Insidewhich was greenlit for a third season in February.
His participation in the upcoming Apple TV project is not expected to interfere with his commitments to the Netflix show.
