Patna: A day before Makar Sankranti, Tej Pratap Yadav visited Rabri Devi’s residence in Patna to meet his parents and brother. During this meeting, he invited him for the Dahi-Chuda banquet to be organized on 14 January.

Before the Bihar Assembly elections, Lalu Yadav had thrown his son Tej Pratap Yadav out of the party and family. Tej Pratap formed his own party and contested the elections on Janashakti Janata Dal ticket, but lost from Mahua seat. At the same time, younger brother Tejashwi Yadav contested the elections with India Alliance and won the Raghopur seat, while RJD was reduced to only 25 seats. During this time, Lalu Yadav’s family also suffered a big setback in the Land for Job case.

After the election defeat, Tejashwi Yadav went abroad, and Lalu Yadav got an eye operation done in Delhi. But Tej Pratap Yadav remains in Patna. On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, he organized a Dahi-Chuda feast at his residence, as Lalu Yadav always used to do. He also invited BJP and JDU leaders to this banquet.

He mentioned that he received blessings from his father Lalu Yadav and mother Rabri Devi and also gave invitation letters to his younger brother Tejashwi Yadav for the banquet. On this occasion, he also shared the special moment of holding his niece Katyayani in his lap.
