Tej Pratap’s ‘Mahabhoj’: Lalu and Governor chatting together, waiting for Nitish Kumar’s arrival too
Patna. In the politics of Bihar, the festival of Makar Sankranti has always been a means of show of strength and reconciliation through ‘Chuda-Dahi’ feast. This time the center of discussion is the residence of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav’s elder son and MLA Tej Pratap Yadav at 26 M Strand Road. Tej Pratap has organized a grand banquet on behalf of ‘Jan Shakti Dal’, in which there was a gathering of stalwarts from the ruling party and the opposition.
Lalu Yadav and Governor seen together-
The most fascinating picture at the banquet emerged when RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav reached his son’s residence. Immediately after him, Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan also reached there. Tej Pratap himself welcomed both the stalwarts. At present, Lalu Prasad and the Governor are sitting together and talking, which is being considered a positive sign in the politics of Bihar.
Lalu said- “I am not angry with my son”-
Recently, putting an end to the discussions on the ongoing tussle in the family, Lalu Prasad Yadav told the journalists, “I am not at all angry with Tej Pratap. He is my son. He should always stay with us and be healthy, this is our wish.”
This great feast is above politics-
Tej Pratap Yadav has described this event as beyond politics. He told the media:
“Today’s banquet is above politics. Personal relationships have their place and politics have their place. I have invited CM Nitish Kumar, both the Deputy Chief Ministers and all the colleagues of the opposition. The aim of all of us is to create a ‘New Bihar’.”
Presence and possible arrival of giants-
Leaders who have arrived: RJD supremo Lalu Yadav, Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, JDU MLA Chetan Anand and Tej Pratap’s maternal uncle Sadhu Yadav have arrived.
Wait: According to sources, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar can also arrive shortly to attend the banquet. Earlier, Tej Pratap himself had invited CM and Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha.
The preparations are special-
Tej Pratap had gone to Rabri residence a day before and invited his mother Rabri Devi and brother Tejashwi Yadav for this banquet. Special arrangements have been made for Bihar’s traditional chuda-curd, jaggery and tilkut in the banquet.
