A missile fired by Yemen's Houthis exploded in a public park south of Tel Aviv on Friday night after efforts to stop it failed, according to The Times of Israel. Doctors said 16 people were slightly injured by breaking glass, including a three-year-old girl, while 14 others were injured while running towards shelters. Footage from the park showed a crater where the missile had struck.

The missile strike triggered sirens across central Israel at 3:44 a.m., sending millions of people out of their beds and running to shelters. This was the second time in the past few days that a Houthi missile fired sirens into the center of the country at midnight. The army confirmed that a missile originating from Yemen struck Tel Aviv, adding that “efforts to intercept it were not successful.” The army said the incident was being investigated.
