Renowned television and Marathi film actor Yogesh Mahajan tragically passed away on January 19, 2025, after a sudden cardiac arrest.


The actor, best known for his role in the ongoing TV show Shiv Shakti Tap Tyag Tandavwas found unconscious in his Umergaon flat after failing to report for a scheduled shoot. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he was declared dead upon arrival.

Yogesh Mahajan was celebrated for his stellar performances in Marathi films such as Mumbaiche Shahane and Samsarachi Mayawhich earned him a dedicated fan following. The actor was shooting for his show, Shiv Shakti Tap Tyag Tandav and had failed to show up on set, raising concerns. When the crew members broke into his flat, they found him unconscious. His unexpected departure has left a profound void in the hearts of his family, friends, and admirers.

The entertainment industry is in shock over the untimely demise of the talented actor. According to a report in News18his co-star Akangsha Rawat expressed her grief, remembering him as a vibrant individual with a great sense of humour. “We worked together for over a year, and it’s heartbreaking to come to terms with his sudden passing,” she shared.

The actor is survived by his wife and their seven-year-old son, who are grappling with an immense personal loss. His funeral is scheduled to take place on January 20, 2025, at the Gorari-2 crematorium near Pragati High School in Borivali West, Mumbai. Beyond his remarkable performances, Yogesh Mahajan will be fondly remembered for his cheerful and lively spirit that touched everyone around him.
