Telugu anchor and actress Vishnu Priya Bhimineni has lodged a complaint with Miyapur police, alleging online harassment and defamatory posts targeting her on Instagram and other platforms.

Hyderabad: Telugu anchor and actress Vishnu Priya Bhimineni on Friday approached the Miyapur police alleging harassment and character assassination on social media platforms.
In her complaint, Vishnu Priya stated that some unidentified individuals had been targeting her with abusive posts and trolling campaigns on Instagram and other social media platforms over the past few days.
Vishnu Priya further alleged that objectionable comments and defamatory content were being circulated against her, damaging her reputation.
She submitted a written complaint to the police seeking action against those responsible for the offensive posts and online harassment.
The Miyapur police, who have acknowledged the complaint, said they are verifying the social media accounts involved in the alleged trolling. Based on the investigation and evidence, action will be taken.
