Telugu-Tamil show of Dhurandhar 2 canceled at the last minute, what is the reason?
There is tremendous enthusiasm across the country regarding ‘Dhurandhar 2’. Fans have been waiting for March 19, 2026 for a long time and are keeping an eye on every small and big detail of the film. Premiere shows of the film were also organized at many places on 18 March. However, disappointing news has emerged for Telugu and Tamil audiences. The premiere shows of the films in these languages were canceled at the last minute, causing a huge shock to the fans.
Technical problem and re-editing became the reason
According to reports, there were technical problems in the Telugu and Tamil versions of ‘Dhurandhar 2’. Director Aditya Dhar made about 21 changes in some violent scenes of the film following suggestions from the censor board Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Due to this last minute editing, the files of the South version could not be prepared on time and the second half of the film could not reach the theatres.
Hindi premiere show starts on time
While on one hand the shows of the South version were cancelled, the premiere shows of the Hindi film started at its scheduled time at 5 pm. This continues to excite the Hindi audience.
Refund of ticket booking started
For viewers who had booked tickets for Telugu and Tamil shows, platforms like BookMyShow have started the refund process. These shows are also being replaced with Hindi versions in many theatres.
Release on March 19 in all languages
Let us tell you that ‘Dhurandhar 2’ is going to be released in theaters in all languages on March 19, 2026. In such a situation, it is hoped that the technical problems will be resolved soon and the complete experience of the film will reach the audience. For now, South fans will have to wait a little, but their enthusiasm about the film has still not diminished.
