Ten day Sanskrit conversation camp concludes at Chandrakona Vidyasagar College
Medinipur, December 15: The ten-day Sanskrit conversation camp organized in collaboration with Sanskritbharti-Dakshinbang at Vidyasagar College, Chandrakona in West Medinipur district, ended on Monday. This camp was organized on the initiative of the Sanskrit Department of the college from November 5 to November 15, 2025. The entire operation and patronage of the camp was done by Saurav Manjhi, teacher of the Sanskrit Department of the college. Two former college students, Saheli Boxi and Rahima Sarkar, played an important role as teachers in the camp. About forty students of the college participated in this camp. Arun Kumar Chakraborty, contact head of Sanskritbharti-Dakshinbang province, was present as the chief guest in the closing ceremony. In his address, he said that for the preservation and promotion of Sanskrit language, it is necessary to make it a language of daily use and not just limit it to the scriptures. During the camp, the students learned to use small Sanskrit sentences. The students experienced special enthusiasm and joy by communicating in Sanskrit. The guests described such conversation camps as extremely important in the direction of language preservation. The teachers and guests present at the closing ceremony stressed the need to organize such programs in future also for the promotion of Sanskrit language.
