Tension between Iran-Israel-US: 43 including 40 girl students killed in bombing, Oman appeals to maintain distance from America
Country. Tension is increasing in West Asia. Taking joint action, America and Israel have started large-scale air strikes on Iran. There have also been reports of attacks near Khamenei’s office in Iran’s capital Tehran. Israel simultaneously launched airstrikes on several Iranian cities, while Iran in retaliation targeted US military bases in five countries.
43 deaths so far in the attacks-
According to Iran’s Mehr News Agency, at least two students were killed in an attack on a school in the eastern area of Tehran. Earlier, 40 people were killed in an alleged Israeli attack on a primary girls’ school in Minab city of southern Iran. A total of 43 deaths have been recorded so far in these incidents, including 40 female students from Minab, two male students from Tehran and one from Abu Dhabi.
Oman appeals to maintain distance from America
Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi expressed concern over the increasing tensions between America and Iran. He said the recent attacks have weakened diplomatic talks and the US should not get involved in this conflict. He says that this is not America’s war and its biggest impact will be on innocent people.
Emergency in Israel-
Israel declared a nationwide state of emergency amid the threat of Iranian missile and drone attacks. Schools and many workplaces have been closed, with public gatherings banned. Defense Minister Gideon Katz appealed to citizens to avoid non-essential travel and patients in hospitals were transferred to secure underground facilities.
Missile blasts in Qatar-
The air defense system intercepted the missiles fired by Iran in Doha, the capital of Qatar. During the anti-missile action, debris fell on the outskirts of the capital, due to which a plume of smoke was seen rising. However, no major damage or casualties have been officially confirmed yet. In other countries of the Gulf region too, security agencies are on high alert in view of the threat of missiles and citizens have been warned to remain alert.
This increasing military conflict in West Asia has become a matter of concern for the international community, and the situation remains continuously tense.
