Terrorists have an evil eye on the temples of Delhi, Lashkar-e-Taiba can target the Red Fort; Security agencies on high alert
Intelligence agencies have issued a high alert regarding the conspiracy to attack terrorist in Delhi. According to inputs, Pakistan-based terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) is planning to target major religious places in the capital. The biggest threat is being expressed to the temples located in Red Fort and Chandni Chowk area.
According to intelligence sources, terrorists may plan to attack with IED (Improvised Explosive Device). In particular, a temple in Chandni Chowk area has been described as a possible target. Sources say that other major temples of the country are also on the radar of Lashkar-e-Taiba and a major attack is being planned.
Conspiracy to avenge Islamabad blast?
Intelligence agencies have also received information that the terrorist organization wants to carry out a major attack in India to avenge the blast that took place near a mosque in Pakistan’s capital Islamabad on February 6. According to sources, the terrorist network is working on a strategy to spread communal tension in India and target major religious places.
Danger associated with Red Fort blast of November 2025
This alert has come at a time when the capital has still not recovered from the car bomb blast that took place near the Red Fort on November 10, 2025. In that attack, there was a blast in a car filled with explosives near Gate No. 1 of Red Fort Metro Station, in which 12 people were killed and many vehicles were caught in the fire. This incident had raised big questions on the security system of Delhi.
NIA investigation got 45 more days time
The National Investigation Agency (NIA), which is investigating this case, had sought extension of time to complete the investigation. The special NIA court located in Patiala House Court, Delhi has given additional time of 45 days to the investigating agency. Also, the judicial custody of 7 accused arrested in this case has been extended till March 13.
What did the security agencies say?
After intelligence input, Delhi Police and central agencies have been instructed to increase surveillance at religious places, especially in the Red Fort and Chandni Chowk area. Sources say that additional forces are being deployed in temples and crowded areas and surveillance is being increased through CCTV and drones. Also, orders have been given to take immediate action on suspicious activities.

Intelligence sources have warned that “There is a possibility of a blast in front of the Red Fort in Delhi. The temple located in Chandni Chowk area can be targeted. Lashkar-e-Taiba is planning an IED attack. Big temples of the country are also on their radar.” This alert issued regarding terrorist threat in Delhi is being considered as a warning not only for the capital but for the entire country.
