Another attack on the master of terror…Terrorist attack on police van in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, painful death of 7 people including DSP

Terrorist Attack in KP: Seven people lost their lives in a horrific attack on a police vehicle in Kohat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan on Tuesday. According to the administration, the attackers surrounded the police van in a remote area and started firing bullets. In this dangerous attack, 6 policemen including DSP Asad Mahmood and a civilian died on the spot. Some people passing by were also injured in the firing.

According to Dawn report, the terrorists ambushed and made Lachi’s DSP Asad their main target. Armed attackers hiding in the forests near Shakardara Road suddenly started firing heavily on the police vehicle from several sides. Due to this unexpected attack, the DSP and his security guards died on the spot. After the incident, the terrorists set the police van on fire and fled.

KP Governor called it a terrorist attack

According to Pakistani media reports, immediately after the murder of seven people including the DSP, security forces have tightly cordoned off the area. Several additional police contingents have been deployed at the incident site and a massive search operation is being conducted to trace the absconding attackers. At the same time, KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has called it a terrorist attack and said that the culprits will be taught a strict lesson.

Continuous terrorist attacks in KP

The series of violence and terrorist incidents has been going on continuously in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces of Pakistan for a long time. In these attacks, local police and Pakistani army personnel are especially being targeted. The Pakistani Army and the government there hold groups like TTP and BLA responsible for these attacks. Both these organizations have been targeting the army for a long time.

Just a day before this, in Karak district of KP, terrorists had also carried out a deadly attack targeting Federal Constabulary (FC) soldiers. Three soldiers were killed and at least three were injured in that incident. At the same time, last week a suicide bomber had carried out a major explosion at a military check post in Bajaur district. Before these incidents, a major terrorist attack had also taken place in the capital Islamabad.
