Terror of firing in Samastipur: Miscreants fired on a woman and a youth, the angry mob beat one to death
On Friday evening, criminals created a bloody game in Dalsinghsarai of Samastipur district of Bihar. Near Indian Bank on Sub-Divisional Hospital Road, miscreants riding a bike first opened fire on a young man and then also targeted the woman who intervened. The incident created a sensation in the area and people became angry.
Pappu Paswan of Loknathpur Belwana had reached the bank on a bike when three miscreants surrounded him. A small argument turned into a dispute and one shot Pappu in the leg. Hearing the sound, people nearby ran, there was chaos.
Meanwhile, Ramesh Sah’s wife Rekha Devi tried to establish peace. The miscreants warned him, but upon protest he shot him in the hand. The injured were taken to Samastipur Sadar Hospital where their treatment is ongoing.
Angry villagers caught the fleeing criminal Sunny Kumar. 24 year old Sunny was beaten so mercilessly that he died on the spot. The watchman confirmed that he was the one firing. Police took the body into custody.
DSP Vivek Kumar Sharma started investigation. Looks like a case of old enmity. CCTVs are being scrutinized, search for two absconding criminals intensifies. To reduce tension, additional forces were deployed and patrolling was increased. Locals have demanded strict action.
This incident exposes the deteriorating law and order situation in small towns of Bihar. Police assured that all the culprits will soon be behind bars. Efforts are on to restore peace in the area.
