Two police officers were brutally murdered near the International Border in Gurdaspur, Punjab. This matter has now taken a very sensitive and dangerous turn. Within just 24 hours of the incident, an alleged terrorist organization named Tehreek-e-Taliban Hindustan (TTH) has taken responsibility for the killings by releasing a video on social media. This incident has worried the security agencies.
A video is going viral on social media. The video is accompanied by inflammatory music and slogans like ‘More will come soon’ and ‘RSS we are coming’. However, Punjab Police has not yet officially confirmed the involvement of this terrorist organization, because this group has never been active in the state before.

Pakistani gangster’s audio surfaced
In this case, the matter of cross-border connection became stronger when an audio clip from Pakistan surfaced. It is being said that notorious gangster Shehzad Bhatti was also involved in this. In this audio, Bhatti is defending the murders and calling it a befitting reply to the Punjab Police. He tries to justify this heinous crime by accusing the police of staging a fake encounter.
5 hunters captured in CCTV
Gurdaspur Police has received CCTV footage from the area. In which five suspects are seen on two motorcycles. The police are now investigating whether local gangsters carried out this contract killing on the instructions of their masters across the border. According to media reports, considering the seriousness of the matter, the central investigating agencies are also coordinating with the Punjab Police to find out the authenticity of the video and audio.

When did this incident happen?
The bodies of assistant sub-inspector Gurnam Singh and constable Ashok Kumar were found on Sunday morning at a checkpoint in Adhiyan village, which falls under the jurisdiction of Dorangala police station. The checkpoint is near the Border Security Force post. The incident came to light when both the soldiers were not responding to phone and wireless calls. After this, the head of the local village was sent to the spot, where the dead bodies were found at around 8 in the morning.
