Terrorist Zakir Ghani was killed, how was Army’s Victor Force surrounded in 5 days?
The Army got a big success in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday. A terrorist of Lashkar-e-Taiba has been killed in Operation Chanapora. He has been identified as Zakir Ahmed Ghani. Based on the intelligence of Jammu and Kashmir Police, the Army conducted a joint search operation with Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF in Chanpora, Shopian. These terrorists were seen in CCTV footage. The army has been carrying out a search operation for the last five days.
Lashkar terrorist Zakir Ahmed Ghani was killed in the firing between security forces and terrorists on Wednesday. Army’s Chinar Corps said that arms, ammunition and other items have been recovered from the spot. Security forces had launched a search operation in Meemandar area of Shopian on July 3 after CCTV cameras spotted two terrorists in a dense forest.

The encounter was going on for five days
For the last five days, the army’s 55 RR, 44 RR and CRPF teams had surrounded the forest. There was intermittent firing from both sides. Later, the Army’s Victor Force closed all the roads into the forest by deploying additional soldiers. On Wednesday, the army killed Zakir Ahmed Ghani in an encounter. He was a resident of Motalhama area of Kulgam.
According to the police, a case has been registered against Zakir Ghani under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) in Kulgam police station. The second terrorist has been identified as Latif.

How Zakir Ahmed Ghani became a terrorist?
According to the police, on September 27, 2023, Zakir Ahmed Ghani left home in search of work, but never returned. On October 3, 2023, the family lodged a missing case at Kulgam police station. Later it was revealed that Zakir Ghani had joined ‘The Resistance Front’ (TRF). This is a branch of the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba. Last year, this TRF had taken responsibility for the Pahalgam terrorist attack.
