Kashmir: Security agencies have become alert about suspected terrorist activities in South Kashmir. A massive search operation has been launched in the entire area after CCTV footage of two suspicious persons emerged in a market area in Anantnag district. In the footage, these two people are seen roaming on the streets of the market, after which the security arrangements were further tightened.

It is being told that this CCTV footage is from Thursday, in which two suspicious persons were seen in Dangarpora market area of ​​Anantnag. Security agencies suspect that they may have links with the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba. As soon as the footage surfaced, the local police and central security forces immediately started taking action.

Identity of a suspect revealed
According to security sources, one of the suspects seen in CCTV has been identified as Mohammad Latif Bhat. He is said to be a resident of Khrevan area of ​​Kulgam district and was recently associated with Kashmir Revolution Army, the alleged shadow organization of Lashkar-e-Taiba. As soon as information about his presence was received, Jammu and Kashmir Police, Army’s Quick Reaction Teams and CRPF were deployed.

Intensive search operation conducted in many areas
Security forces conducted intensive search operations in several areas of Anantnag city including Dangarpora, Qazibag, Dantar and Mattan. House-to-house searches were conducted till late evening and the search for the suspects continued. However, both the suspects have not been traced yet.

Increased surveillance in hilly and forest areas also
Not limited to urban areas only, security agencies have also intensified anti-terrorist operations in the hilly and forested areas of South Kashmir. According to officials, this action is being taken on the basis of recent intelligence information, so that any possible threat can be stopped in time.
