Tesla’s first charging station started in Gurugram, big relief to EV users

With this new facility, Tesla has a total of 3 major charging stations in India, which now includes 12 Superchargers and 10 Destination Chargers. This network provides Tesla customers with reliable charging support for long distance travel.
Features of Gurugram station
Four V4 superchargers and three destination chargers have been installed in this charging station, which started on 17 December 2025 in Gurugram, Haryana. This station is located in Golf Course Road, Sector-43 and according to the company, it has 99.95% uptime. The charging process is completely simple for Tesla users, just ‘plug in, charge and go’. Complete charging, payment and station location information is available in real time through the Tesla App.
Strong network in Delhi and Mumbai also
Before Gurugram, Tesla had started its experience center and charging station at Worldmark 3 in Delhi Aerocity, where four high-tech superchargers are present in the basement. The company launched its first station in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in August 2025, in which four V4 supercharging stalls (DC) and four destination charging stalls (AC) have been provided. Delhi, Mumbai and Gurugram have now become Tesla’s major charging hubs.
The power of superfast charging
Tesla’s supercharging technology is a big time saver. The company claims that the 250kW V4 supercharger can give the Model Y a range of up to 275 kilometers in just 15 minutes of charging. That means the distance from Gurugram to Hawa Mahal in Jaipur can be covered without stopping. However, the charging speed may vary slightly depending on the battery level and temperature.

How much does charging cost?
Tesla has kept the charging rates in India quite competitive.
- 250kW Supercharger: Rs 24 per kW
- Model Y Standard Variant: Full charge for around Rs 1,800
- Model Y Long Range Variants: A little over Rs 2,000
- 11kW Destination Charger: Only Rs 14 per kW
Smart management and future planning
Tesla offers a complete digital ecosystem, not just charging stations. The car’s navigation system “pre-conditions” the battery before reaching the station. This makes the charging faster. ‘congestion fee’ charging more than 80% at crowded stations. (Approximately Rs 40 per minute) also applies. New superchargers are likely to be launched in cities like Noida and Thane in the coming times.
