Till now only two left arm fast bowlers have taken more than 400 wickets :-
Australia cricket team’s star fast bowler Mitchell Starc played his first test match against New Zealand cricket team at Gaba ground in 2011. Since then he has achieved a lot of success in Tests. Due to this, he has now joined only two left arm fast bowlers to take more than 400 Test wickets.
Meanwhile, former great Pakistani fast bowler Wasim Akram had taken 414 wickets while playing in 104 matches. Whereas Starc has broken Akram’s record by playing 102 Tests and now he has a total of 418 Test wickets in his name. Now with this special achievement, Starc has reached 15th position in the list of bowlers taking most wickets.
Wasim Akram’s average has been excellent :-
Former great Pakistani fast bowler Wasim Akram has played most of his tests in Pakistan. Apart from this, the pitches here are also suitable for spin bowlers. On the other hand, Starc has played most of the matches on the fast and bouncy pitches of Australia. Even after this, Wasim Akram’s bowling average has been 23.62.
Whereas Mitchell Stock’s bowling average has been 26.43. Due to this, Akram’s bowling has been much better than the average Starc. But meanwhile, if we talk about strike rate, Starc is ahead of them in this matter. Because Akram used to take a wicket every 54.6 balls. Whereas Starc takes a wicket on an average every 46.3 balls.
Who has taken maximum 5 wicket hauls :-
While playing during the recently concluded Gabba Test match, Mitchell Starc took the 18th 5 wicket haul of his Test career. Whereas Wasim Akram had taken 5 or more wickets a total of 25 times in his entire Test career. Apart from this, both the great players are on par in terms of taking 4 wickets. Because both these bowlers have achieved this feat 20-20 times. Apart from this, Akram is ahead of Australian fast bowler in matches with 10 wickets. Because Stark has done this feat three times. Whereas Akram had taken 10 wickets in the same match 5 times.

Australia cricket team’s star fast bowler Michael Starc has taken 333 wickets in his Test career in SENA countries (South Africa, England, New Zealand and Australia). Meanwhile, his bowling average while playing has been 26.86. Whereas on the other hand, Wasim Akram has also taken 146 wickets in these countries.
Meanwhile, his bowling average has been 24.11. Apart from this, Wasim Akram has taken 216 wickets while playing in Asian countries, where the challenge for fast bowlers is more. Meanwhile, his bowling average has also been 22.53. On the other hand, Starc’s bowling average in Asia has been 28.75. Because this Australian fast bowler has taken a total of 58 wickets here.
