Test, trial all completed, first Vande Bharat sleeper will run between Kolkata and Guwahati
The ongoing speculations regarding the route of Vande Bharat Sleeper Train are now over. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has said that the test and trial of this train has been completed and in a few days, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off this train. Earlier there was discussion that this train will run on the route from Delhi to Patna or Delhi to Kolkata. Now Ashwini Vaishnav has told that first of all this train will be run between Guwahati (Assam) to Kolkata (West Bengal). Currently, the trains that run on this route take 16 to 24 hours to cover this distance.
Giving information about this train, Ashwini Vaishnav said, ‘Trial, testing, certification of Vande Bharat Sleeper has been completed and the first route is from Guwahati to Kolkata. In the coming few days, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the first Vande Bharat sleeper on this route. This is a big success for the Railways, for the country and for our country. For a long time, there was hope in everyone’s mind for a new generation train. Vande Bharat Chair Car has been liked a lot by the people and people request to run Vande Bharat on our route. The same comfort will now be provided for overnight journeys also through sleeper trains.

What will be the timing?
He further said, ‘Completely new technology has been used in this. Just as we continuously improved the Vande Bharat Chair Car, we have thought about it and created a completely new model. He has also told that this train will benefit the passengers of 2 districts of Assam and 7 districts of West Bengal. Ashwini Vaishnav has told that its timing will be kept such that the train runs in the evening or at night and reaches its destination in the morning.
How will Vande Bharat Sleeper be?
Vande Bharat sleeper train will have a total of 16 coaches. Out of these, 11 will be AC 3 tier coaches, 4 AC 2 tier coaches and one AC 1 tier coach. In this way, a total of 823 passengers will be able to travel in one train. There are preparations to run Vande Bharat sleeper trains on 8 more routes in the coming 6 months and 12 trains will be run by the end of the year.
This train has been provided with better seats, soft lighting at night, CCTV cameras, visual display, bio vacuum toilet, baby care area, automatic doors and many other modern facilities.

How much will the fare be?
Ashwini Vaishnav has told that the first AC fare from Kolkata to Guwahati will be Rs 3600, second AC fare will be Rs 3000 and third AC fare will be Rs 2300. The cost of food is also included in this price. He has also told that this train can be inaugurated around January 17-18.
Recently Ashwini Vaishnav had also shared a video of the trial of this train. In this video it was shown that this train shakes very little at the speed of 180. For this, another glass was placed on top of three glasses filled with water and it did not fall even at such speed.
