Thai actress Min Pechaya and two other celebrities have been arrested for promoting The iCon Group, a company accused of operating a pyramid scheme involving health and dietary supplements.
Let's say reported that on Wednesday, a Bangkok court issued arrest warrants for Min, TV host Kan Kantathavorn, and actor Yuranunt Pamornmontri, accusing them of participating in public fraud and entering false information into a computer system.
Before their arrest, the three were interrogated for over five hours. Investigations showed that all had roles within The iCon Group, which sells beauty products, dietary supplements, and sales training courses. Min served as the company’s communications director.

On Oct. 12, Min held a press conference where she explained that she joined the company a year ago, believing it was reputable, and expressed regret for not thoroughly researching its background. Min also apologized to those impacted by the alleged fraud and confirmed that she has cut ties with the company, as Thai PBS reported.
Thai police have arrested 18 individuals and confiscated luxury sports cars and millions of dollars in connection with the company. The arrests followed over 1,000 fraud complaints filed against The iCon Group, which victims claimed had enticed them into purchasing products and making financial investments.
Min, 35, rose to fame after winning Miss Teen Thailand 2006 and is known for her roles in movies such as “The Intriguing Scheme,” “The Spicy Couple,” and “Twin Storms.” She has a following of 7 million on Instagram.
