Thai Queen Suthida steals the spotlight at SEA Games 33 opening parade
Thai Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana drew widespread attention as she accompanied King Maha Vajiralongkorn at the opening ceremony of the SEA Games 33 in Bangkok on Tuesday evening.
When the royal motorcade arrived at Rajamangala Stadium, spectators erupted in cheers as Queen Suthida stepped out, according to Nation Thailand.
The King and Queen then signed the guest book in a reception room on the second floor before proceeding to the royal stand, where Sports Authority of Thailand governor Kongsak Yodmanee presented them with the program and ceremonial gifts.
One of the night’s most talked-about moments came when Queen Suthida boarded a royal electric vehicle and joined Thai athletes during the parade.
