Thakurdwara Municipality’s arrangements failed? Serious shortcomings revealed in ADM’s inspection

Yameen Vikat, Thakurdwara. On Tuesday, Additional District Magistrate Administration Mamta Malviya conducted a surprise inspection of the arrangements of refrigerated kiosks and electric poles established by the Municipal Council for the convenience of the common people in the city. Expressing deep displeasure on finding irregularities at many places during the inspection, he gave strict instructions to the concerned officers and employees.

During the inspection, the Additional District Magistrate Administration took stock of the refrigerator stalls installed in the city. She was very angry after seeing waterlogging and unhygienic conditions near a pond. He told the municipal workers present on the spot that there should be proper drainage system around the pond, so that there is no waterlogging and cleanliness is maintained. He gave clear instructions that the water from the pond located near the police station should be drained properly into the drain and no filth should remain in the surrounding area. After this, the Additional District Magistrate Administration inspected the electric poles installed on the highway from Shiv Hari Madhi Temple to Kashipur Chungi. During this time, he expressed strong displeasure when the construction of the base of an electric pole was found to be not as per the standards.

He found that in the construction of the base, instead of casting it properly, only cement-gravel solution was poured, which is not appropriate from safety point of view. On this, he instructed Municipality Chairman Irfan Saifi to personally monitor the construction works and not allow any negligence in the quality. Additional District Magistrate Administration Mamta Malviya said that quality and cleanliness are of paramount importance in public facilities and construction works. If such negligence is found again in future, strict action will be taken against the responsible officers and employees.

During the inspection, Municipality Chairman Irfan Saifi, Cleaning Committee Chairman and National Director of Bharatiya Valmiki Dharma Samaj Rakesh Danav, Senior Clerk Deepak Kumar and other employees of the Municipality were also present.
