“Thala meets Thala”: The meeting of AR Rahman and MS Dhoni stole the show, fans danced in ROAR 2026

Before IPL 2026, Chennai Super Kings organized a special pre-season event ‘ROAR 2026’ for its fans, where a wonderful confluence of cricket and music was seen. The meeting of Oscar-winning musician AR Rahman and former CSK captain MS Dhoni at this event organized at the historic MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai won everyone’s hearts.

During the event, AR Rahman made the entire stadium dance by giving live. But the most talked about meeting was between him and MS Dhoni. Rahman shared a video on his Instagram, in which he was seen showing Dhoni to someone on a video call. During this, the light conversation and smile between the two gave a special moment to the fans.

While sharing the video, Rahman wrote the caption – “Thala se Thala Milta Hai”, after which there was a flood of reactions from fans on social media. Someone called it “the meeting of two favorite people”, while someone called it “two idols in one frame”.

Many veteran players of CSK also participated in this special event. These included names like Suresh Raina, Ambati Rayudu, Harbhajan Singh, Dwayne Bravo, Matthew Hayden, Muttiah Muralitharan, Parthiv Patel and Murali Vijay.
