Thalapathy Vijay bid farewell to his acting career with tears in his eyes, did a meetup with fans, said – ‘The last film is painful’
South Indian cinema superstar Thalapathy Vijay said goodbye to his acting career in an emotional manner. The grand audio launch event of his last film ‘Jana Nayakan’ was held on 27 December in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where thousands of fans gathered. Vijay looked very emotional on this occasion and described his last film as ‘a little painful’.
Vijay has decided to leave acting and enter politics completely. Last year, he had launched his party ‘Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam’ (TVK) and is now preparing to contest the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. At the event, Vijay said, “I don’t know if it’s right to say this or not, but my last film is a bit painful, isn’t it?”

I am leaving cinema for the fans…
Vijay spoke openly about his decision. He said that the most important thing for him is that the audience comes to theaters to watch him. For this reason, he is ready to remain dedicated to him for the next 30-33 years. Vijay further said, “I had entered cinema with the hope of building a small wall of sand, but you guys gave me an entire palace. Faced all kinds of criticism from the beginning, but my fans always stood by me.”

He thanked the fans and said that those who stood for him, now he will stand for them. At the event, Vijay performed for the last time on the song ‘Thalapathy Kacheri’, which made the atmosphere more emotional.
