The controversy over the personal life of South Indian superstar and politician Thalapathy Vijay is continuously deepening. His wife Sangeeta Sornalingam had already filed for divorce. Now he has filed a new petition in the court asking for the right to live with his in-laws. 51-year-old Sangeeta has also demanded security of residence and financial help from the court. He says that he has no other suitable house to live in India.
Demand to live with in-laws or to give another house
In the new petition, Sangeeta has appealed to the court that until Vijay does not provide her another house as per her status, she should be allowed to live in her in-laws’ house. She said that since she is a citizen of the United Kingdom (UK) and does not own a house in India, she would have no place to live if she was stopped from staying at her in-laws’ house.
Demand for alimony and financial help also
Sangeeta has also demanded permanent alimony in the petition filed in the court. According to reports, he has also sought financial assistance for his expenses during the legal action. Some media reports have claimed that Sangeeta has asked for an alimony of around Rs 250 crore. However, this amount has not been officially confirmed yet.
Vijay accused of infidelity
In the divorce petition, Sangeeta has made serious allegations of infidelity and cruelty against Vijay. He claims that Vijay was allegedly in an extra-marital relationship with an actress. According to reports, Sangeeta came to know about this alleged relationship in 2021. She also alleged that despite assurances, Vijay did not end his relationship with the actress.
Discussion of affair with Trisha Krishnan
Amidst this entire controversy, Vijay’s name is also being linked with actress Trisha Krishnan. Recently both were seen together at a wedding ceremony. It is being told that Vijay and Trisha had reached the function in the same car and were also seen leaving the function together. Since then, discussions regarding their relationship have intensified.
27 year old marriage on the verge of breaking
Vijay and Sangeeta had their marriage registered in the year 1998. After this, on 25 August 1999, both of them got married according to traditional customs. The couple has two children – son Jason Sanjay and daughter Divya Shasha. After almost 27 years of marriage, this relationship has now reached the verge of breaking.
