New Delhi : The India tour of football world god Lionel Messi reached its final leg at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Messi’s journey, which started after a chaotic start in Kolkata, reached its fitting end. There was a huge crowd of spectators in the stadium, while some Indian celebrities and dignitaries were present inside the ground. His arrival created an atmosphere of excitement and joy for football lovers in Delhi.

Messi addressed the stadium crowd in Spanish and said, "Gracias Delhi! Get in soon"which means "Thanks Delhi! See you again soon." During this, the audience welcomed him with loud applause and cheers. He said that the experience of love he got in India was amazing for him and it will remain his lifelong experience. Messi expressed gratitude for the immense sentiments and support given by the audience and also assured to visit India in future.

Messi enjoyed the 7×7 celebrity match while visiting the stadium. The spectators cheered his name, many wearing Argentina’s blue and white jersey. Messi, along with Inter Miami teammates Luis Suarez and Rodrigo de Paul, kicked goals onto the field and honored the Minerva Academy soccer team. The tour was completely centered around Messi, and he looked effortless in every activity.

Messi’s Delhi trip started a little late due to flight delay from Mumbai. Due to dense fog, his charter plane could not land on time and he reached Indira Gandhi International Airport at 2:30 pm. After this he met a limited number of invitees at Leela Palace Hotel.
