Oil tanker reached India due to Captain’s cleverness, know how it crossed the Strait of Hormuz

Strait of Hormuz Tension : Amidst the tension in West Asia due to America-Israel and Iran war, fuel crisis is looming in many countries of the world. There is a relief news for India on Thursday, the 13th day of this war. An oil tanker has successfully reached Mumbai from the Strait of Hormuz. This tanker will dock in Mumbai and supply crude oil to the refineries located in Mahul.

In fact, amidst the war, many ships are stranded on the Strait of Hormuz and Iran is claiming control over it. It is continuously targeting the ships of America and its allies passing through the Strait of Hormuz. Due to which there is difficulty in supply of oil. Meanwhile, a crude oil tanker from Saudi port Ras Tanura has crossed the Strait of Hormuz and reached Mumbai safely.

It is being told that the captain of Shenlong, a Liberian flagged oil tanker which reached Mumbai, had switched off the signal system of the tanker to avoid Iran. With the wisdom of the Captain, this oil tanker has reached Mumbai carrying 1,35,335 metric tonnes of crude oil. The ship temporarily shut down its AIS tracking system while passing through the risky area. It reappeared on the tracking system on 9 March and reached Mumbai on 11 March.
