Several earthquakes have been felt in Kolkata in the last few months. Today, Friday afternoon, Tilottama also shook. The magnitude of which was 5.0 on the Richter scale. Is that right? Android phones have Earthquake Alerts System. This is an inbuilt feature of Google. This feature is available on all Android phones. But for that you have to go to settings and enable an option. First go to phone system. Go there and select the location. Then go to Safety and Emergency option. MyShake App- This app has been developed jointly by the University of California and other institutions. Which is able to give warning before the earthquake.
Earthquake Network App- This app is also able to give warnings before earthquakes. The phone’s accelerometer can detect vibrations and send advance messages.
