No marriage certificate required: You will not need to submit a separate marriage certificate. Automatic transfer of name: Once the form is submitted, your name (unit) will be automatically added to the card of your in-laws after changing from your maternal home to your in-laws’ card. Even if no ration card has been made, there is no need to worry. A new card will be made in your name and the unit will be added to it. Within 15 days, your name will be verified and added to the in-laws’ card and you can start taking your ration from the shop there. With this change, every married woman will now get her share of 5 kg of free food grains under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) without any hindrance.
