Big blow to BJP in Tamil Nadu, powerful veteran leader upset with seat sharing with AIADMK announces not to contest Annamalai assembly elections

New Delhi. BJP has suffered a major setback during the Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections. Senior BJP leader and former state president K. Annamalai has decided not to contest the assembly elections. According to sources, Tamil Nadu BJP leader K. Annamalai has expressed strong displeasure over the manner of seat-sharing between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) ahead of the elections. He has written a letter to the party high command.

Annamalai has expressed displeasure over some selected seats being given to AIADMK. According to sources, Annamalai has written a letter to the central leadership of the party in Delhi expressing her concerns regarding the seats given to BJP under the alliance agreement. It is being told that he is angry that AIADMK did not give those seats to BJP which were considered easy for BJP to win. It also includes Kinathukadavu Seat. Annamalai has reportedly decided not to contest the elections after analyzing the constituencies.
