The Capture Season 3 Plot details
The latest season picks up about a year after Rachel Carey revealed the Correction program, which uses deepfake technology to create misinformation, during her live-streamed broadcast.
Now the acting commander of the Counter Terrorism Command, Rachel Carey, is leading a new initiative called Operation Veritas, which will allow for real-time analysis of video content to identify whether it has been manipulated through deepfaking.
However, shortly after launching the new initiative, she and her team find themselves embroiled in an international conspiracy that was triggered by a devastating terrorist attack. Through the investigation, Carey discovers that she has become embroiled in one of the most intense conflicts to ever face her agency and that the line between truth and falsehood continues to be eroded.
This season continues the show’s examination of surveillance, misinformation, and digital manipulation, and takes the major theme of “can you trust what you’re seeing” to a new level.
