The colors of Holi are gone, but the ‘Colors of happiness, with loved ones’ initiative left smiles in many homes.
Help reached hundreds of needy families through the campaign of Parth Gautam Foundation, this humanitarian initiative remains in the news even after the festival has passed.
Holi festival has passed. Colors and gulal have gradually been washed off from the streets of the city, but for many families of Bareilly, this year’s Holi has become something to remember for a long time. The reason is an initiative which brought not only colors but also hope, belongingness and support to the homes of the needy.
The campaign “Khushi ke Rang, Apno ke Sang” run by social worker Parth Gautam and his organization Parth Gautam Foundation became special for many needy families this Holi.
Festivals in India are not just celebrations, but a confluence of relationships and emotions. But there are many families in the society for whom the joy of festivals remains incomplete due to financial difficulties, illness or social problems. The organization tried to provide assistance to such families through this campaign.
Under this campaign, the organization’s founder Partha Gautam and his team reached many settlements and homes, sat with the families, listened to them and understood their needs and tried to fulfill them as far as possible. Some families needed medical help, while others were worried about their children’s education. Somewhere there was a need for financial support, and somewhere else it was just the belief that someone would stand by us in difficult times.
The aim of the organization is not just to provide happiness for one day, but to support the families for a long time. Parth believes that festivals not only give us an opportunity to celebrate but also fulfill our responsibilities towards the society.
Let us tell you that even before this the organization had provided assistance to more than 500 families through the “Har Ghar Diwali” campaign. Apart from this, around 2000 helmets have been distributed so far to spread awareness about road safety. While in the summer the thirst of about 7000 people was being quenched every day through the water service centers set up by the organization, last winter a meaningful effort was made to provide relief to more than 5000 families by distributing blankets and jackets.
The organization’s effort to provide free medical services and treatment facilities to the needy people through its youth organization ‘Yuva Sevak Sangh’ is also commendable. The recent Holi campaign has also emerged as an important link in the organization’s efforts to continuously serve the society.
The main message of campaigns like “Khushi Ke Rang, Apno Ke Sang” is that the real beauty and real fun of the festival lies only when every person of the society can participate in that happiness.
