Congress cornered Modi government on air pollution, called air quality a nationwide crisis

New Delhi. The increased air pollution during the winter season in the surrounding areas including Delhi-NCR has created a threat to people’s breathing. Delhiites are facing the double blow of harsh cold as well as polluted air. The air quality was recorded in the ‘very poor’ category on Saturday too, and on Sunday morning too, the AQI level remained in the ‘poor’ to ‘very poor’ category in many areas. In such a situation, Congress is continuously attacking the BJP government at the Center on the issue of air pollution.

In fact, according to the data released by the Air Quality Early Warning System for Delhi, Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 297 on Sunday morning, which falls in the ‘poor’ category. Meanwhile, the Congress party, citing a report, claimed that air quality is a nationwide, structural crisis, to which the government’s response has been woeful and inadequate. For this, Congress has demanded complete reform of the National Clean Air Program (NCAP).
