‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ receives rave reveiws: ‘Movie did the unthinkable’
Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep’s The Devil Wears Prada 2 just received its first set of reviews from fans.
Directed by David Frankel, the new sequel to his classic 2006 romantic comedy is coming to theatres this Friday, May 1.

But the early screenings have revealed that the OG fans won’t be disappointed to watch the second film after 20 years.
According to the Devil Wears Prada lovers, the new installment is a perfect summer movie. After watching the film, they felt like the “cinema is still alive and well.”
One of the X users claimed that they were so ready to hate the sequel because of the legacy the first movie had already set in 2006.

“But this movie did the unthinkable… it proved me wrong. This is no soulless cash-in. It actually justifies its existence and surpassed my expectations”, wrote an internet user.
On the other hand, another one pointed out that the Devil Wears Prada 2 is “more of a poignant piece on modern journalism and the folks doing their best to uphold the ethical values of the industry.”
A third X user, while sharing their opinion about the film, wrote, “The Devil Wears Prada 2 has the same structure as the first, but the heavy focus on the difficulties of producing print journalism in the 2020s is a welcome surprise.”
“Not a classic like the first, but the cast is so good that it’s still fun.”

The Devil Wears Prada 2 reunites Anne, Meryl, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci after 20 years.
