District President of Chirag Paswan’s party seduced and raped a minor, police arrested him under POCSO Act.

Rohtas. Rohtas District President of LJP (R) has been arrested by the police of Sasaram Mofussil police station on Friday in a serious case related to sexual harassment of a minor girl. Kamlesh Rai, resident of Bhainsahi Kala village of Sasaram block, is also the head of Karup Panchayat and PACS president. Against whom the police have taken action under the POCSO Act. After this incident, there is a stir in the politics of the district in view of the upcoming Panchayat elections and the market of discussions is hot.

Action taken on mother’s application

In the application given to Sasaram Mufussil Police Station, the victim’s mother has said that on November 5, her minor daughter had left home for coaching, but did not return home till late evening. After this a lot of investigation was done, but nothing could be found. Regarding this, the victim’s mother had filed an application in Sasaram Mufassil police station on November 11 itself and lodged an FIR against Kamlesh Rai, fearing some untoward incident with her daughter. In the light of which the police has taken the above action today.

Allegation of kidnapping in the past also

According to the victim’s mother, accused Kamlesh Rai had lured her daughter away on September 11 and kept her with him in Sasaram for three days. On returning home, the daughter told that she had left the house only on the advice of Kamlesh Rai and a mobile phone was also recovered from her, in which a SIM issued in the name of Kamlesh Rai was found. In his application, he has also accused him of having illicit relations with his daughter and selling her for money.

Arrest made under POCSO Act

In this case, Sadar DSP 2 Kumar Vaibhav said that a case of kidnapping of a minor girl had taken place in Sasaram Mufussil Police Station. In the light of which, after the recovery of the minor girl, a medical checkup was done and her statement was made in the court. He said that on the basis of the medical report, the police has arrested Harihar Rai’s son Kamlesh Rai from Bhainsahi Kala village under the POCSO Act and further action is going on.
