The dream of Flying Car will come true, the car of the future ready to fly over the traffic jam

World’s First Flying Car: The dream of flying in the air to reach the destination in cities struggling with traffic jams is now very close to reality. American company Aleph Aeronautics has claimed that the production of the world’s first flying car has started. This unique car, priced at around 2.35 lakh pounds (about Rs 2 crore 9.6 lakh), is capable of running on the road as well as flying in the air if needed. After more than a decade of development, the company has announced that its flying car will soon be handed over to early customers.

Initial cars will be made by hand in Silicon Valley

According to Aleph Aeronautics, in the first phase the flying cars will be hand-built at a facility located in California’s Silicon Valley. It will take many months to make each vehicle completely safe and reliable. For this reason, initially deliveries will be given only to selected customers, so that they can be tested in real conditions. The company believes that through phased delivery, possible defects can be removed in time.

The company claims “Production started at the right time”

Aleph Aeronautics CEO Jim Dukhovny says the company has succeeded in starting production of the first flying car on schedule. According to him, the team worked hard to achieve this goal, as people were waiting for this technology for a long time. He says that now this project is ready to take off from the ground.

Special design for both road and sky

The company claims that this is not a flying taxi, but a real flying car. The Aleph Model A ultralight is both a road-legal vehicle and aircraft capable of performing vertical take-off and landing using wingless eVTOL technology. Eight propellers hidden in the bonnet and boot of the car help in quick flight when needed.

Technique, Speed and Range

On the road, this car drives like one, with each wheel having a separate motor. During flight, the powerful propellers installed around the seat take it to a cruising speed of about 177 km/h. The carbon-fiber mesh body design allows air to pass through and protects the propeller. It has seating for the pilot and one passenger. According to the company, its range will be approximately 321 km on ground and 177 km in air.

Easy to learn, strict rules

The company claims that it is relatively easy to operate and fly and should take about 15 minutes to learn. However, being classified as an ultralight low-speed vehicle, its maximum speed on public roads will be only 40 km/h.

Certification, pre-order and future

Aleph Aeronautics has received airworthiness certification from the US Federal Aviation Administration in 2023. The company has so far received 3,500 pre-orders, whose total value is said to be more than £800 million. Initial customers will be allowed to fly only under controlled conditions and special training will also be mandatory.

It will take time to reach common people

Currently, preparations for mass production are underway. The price is expected to drop to around £25,000 in future if the process is automated. Till then this dream of flying cars will come true only for a limited number of people.
