UP News: Republic Day will be celebrated across the country on Sunday. On this occasion, the entire city will come to a halt for 52 seconds in Uttar Pradesh's capital Lucknow on Sunday. Actually, the national anthem will be played at 10 am in the capital Lucknow. During this, the entire city will come to a standstill for 52 seconds. All the signals in the city will turn red, for this siren will be sounded in the entire city 05 minutes in advance. For this, a nodal police officer will also be deployed at every intersection of the city.
National anthem will be broadcast across the city
During this period, the national anthem will be broadcast across the city. Which will be done in the entire city through LED screens, public announcement system and ITMS deployed in different parts of the city including smart city areas. During this period, to ensure smooth coordination, a police officer will be appointed as nodal officer at all major intersections. The aim of this initiative is to promote national unity and pride across the city on Republic Day.

Last year also on 15th August the national anthem was played in the entire city.
Let us tell you that this is not the first time that the national anthem is being broadcast on the occasion of any national festival in the city. Earlier on 15 August 2024 also, the national anthem was played throughout Lucknow. Then immediately after the hoisting of the tricolor on the Vidhan Bhawan by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the national anthem was broadcast simultaneously in the entire city. Then at 9:15 in the morning, the echo of 'Jana Gana Mana' was heard in the entire city. Even then the entire city came to a standstill for 52 seconds. The District Magistrate of Lucknow has issued instructions in this regard in which it has been said that at this time the traffic signals will be 'red' simultaneously at all the intersections of the city.

Even in 2023, the national anthem was played in the entire city
Not only this, on August 15, 2023, the national anthem was broadcast simultaneously throughout Lucknow. During this time all other work was stopped for 52 seconds. Also, traffic signals in the city had turned red. Immediately after the flag hoisting, traffic signals at 19 major intersections of the city remained red for two minutes from 9.45 am to 9.47 am.
